PRP for Hair Loss
PRP
PRP is platelet-rich plasma. It is a regenerative treatment that uses a patient’s own blood to stimulate hair follicles and improve hair density and thickness.
It’s commonly used for early to moderate hair thinning in both men and women. The best candidates are those who suffer from early androgenetic alopecia, scalp thinning, GLP-1 related loss, & postpartum or stress-related shedding.
Typically sessions are completed in a series, spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Patients will notice gradual changes. There will be an early reduction in shedding in about 2-6 weeks, visible thickening in 3 months, improvement in density in 4-6 months, followed by peak improvement in 6–12 months. A maintenance session should be completed yearly if needed.
